Best practices for sending bulk email through Front Desk

If you need to contact all patients in your Front Desk system by email, it is important to use the right email integration in Front Desk. Though using email settings for Gmail, Outlook, or your internet service provider is suitable for sending small numbers of emails at one time, when sending bulk emails, your emails are more likely to be marked as spam or even blocked by your email provider due to rate limiting.

When sending emails to a large number of recipients, it is best practice to use a dedicated bulk mail service such as MailChimp or SendGrid. Both solutions will still send email on behalf of your chosen email address but will do so in a way that maximises the chance of the email reaching your patient’s inbox.
