This article is part of a series of posts to help users with the clinical notes functionality in Front Desk. In this article, we will discuss how to setup and use Clinical Notes Quick Buttons.

Using Quick Buttons, you are able to quickly output commonly used phrases and paragraphs, treatment plans or any amount of text that you record regularly without having to manually type it each time, at the touch of a button. It is also useful when using touch-screens or tablet devices.



Clinical Notes Quick Buttons are fully customisable and can be setup easily through the Front Desk System menu.



This window will list Quick Button categories which are displayed as tabs while working with clinical notes on the patient file. Select Add to create a Quick Button tab.



Enter a Description to name the group of buttons that will appear on this tab.



Click Add to create a new button, the Label will be the text that the button displays. The Text field contains the text that will be inserted into the clinical note when the button is used. Select OK to save. Repeat for additional buttons, and the select OK to save your set.



To use your quick buttons, select the

icon from the clinical notes view, located on the right-hand side of your clinical notes view.



Pressing a quick button will input the text at your cursor position in your clinical note.
